OCP EMEA Summit 2026 - ODCA Content available

The OCP EMEA Summit 2026 in Barcelona once again confirmed its role as one of the leading events for open, scalable, and sustainable data center infrastructure. Bringing together global industry leaders, technology providers, and innovators, the summit offered a unique platform to shape the future of digital infrastructure—with a strong and visible focus on next-generation power distribution.
Direct current (DC) power architectures played a prominent role throughout the event, with many sessions highlighting their growing relevance for modern data centers and, in particular, for AI-driven workloads.
ODCA at the Summit
The Open Direct Current Alliance actively contributed to this dynamic exchange. A key highlight was the executive presentation by the Chairman of the ODCA Board, Hartwig Stammberger:
“Next Gen AI Data Centers with Industry-Proven Direct Current Power Supply”
The session demonstrated how industry-proven DC solutions can significantly improve efficiency and resource utilization in next-generation AI data centers. Drawing on real-world deployments, the presentation showed measurable benefits such as reduced energy losses and lower copper requirements, while emphasizing the scalability of 800 V DC architectures as a future-proof solution.
Furthermore, ODCA shared its progress in harmonization, standardization, and its active contributions to OCP’s LVDC power distribution initiatives, underlining the importance of open and interoperable ecosystems.
