Last week, the time had finally come: After many weeks of intensive planning, the ODCA opened a trade fair stand for the first time. Celebrating this premiere directly at the world's largest exhibition center, the Hannover Messe, was particularly fitting. For five days, we had the opportunity to talk to many visitors and exchange ideas with them about the advantages of direct current (DC) and the role of the ODCA. In addition to the many visitors who came to get a first impression, we counted more than 60 in-depth conversations that enabled us to expand our network. We were especially pleased to meet our newest member, Omron, in person at the fair or booth!
Three members of the ODCA Board also spoke at the Energy 4.0 Conference Stage at the Hannover Messe. You can access the recordings in English and German by clicking on the links below:
In addition, Dr. Hartwig Stammberger and Dr. Jan Stefan Michels, in their roles as Chair and Vice-Chair of the ODCA, conducted an in-depth interview to Andrea Gillhuber of Computer&Automation magazine. You can find the interview here.
Another highlight was the direct contact with politicians. With Stefan Wenzel, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, we were able to discuss the advantages of DC-based factories in detail and to pass on our demands for political investment, such as support programmes.
For the ODCA it was a successful start into the world of traid fairs. We are already setting our sights on the next major events in order to raise awareness of the technology and thus drive forward the energy transition.
